Relief Prints
This reduction linocut in two colours was made in response to a collaboration with the poet Michael Arnold Williams. His autobiographical poem about childhood was featured in Poetry Wales Summer 2020 and this image appeared in the online edition.
The print shows the River Usk and a suggestion of Caerleon on the far bank. The figure refers to Michael's poem, but is based on drawings of my own grandson.
Ultramarine and yellow ochre Caligo Safe Wash oil-based inks were used, printed by means of a baren onto handmade Japanese paper.
The image measures 300mm x 720mm.
