Found in the Light Jar

This reduction linocut was printed in six colours.
It shows what appears to be a simple scene. A safe and inviting interior is suggested by the warm colours of the room in contrast with the cool blue of the garden seen through the window. But there is a mystery around the light jar itself, and the blue light glowing within. The young woman who peers into the jar is nevertheless confident and enquiring.
The image was professionally printed onto Somerset Enhanced 225gm acid free authentic fine art paper from St Cuthbert’s Mill, Somerset, using the highest quality archival pigment inks. This was mounted onto Japanese Hosho paper, which in turn was applied to a 350gm satin card. A thumbnail print was applied to the back of the card with details of printing. Finally the card was signed, dated and titled by the artist.
This card is the perfect size to be mounted into a standard 25 x25cm frame. A perfect small gift which can be displayed for many years without fear of fading.
