This linocut print was made from two lino blocks, and just two colours - yellow ochre and ultramarine blue. A young girl contemplates her future on a northern shore. The landscape has its origins in a watercolour sketch I made of Eynhallow, a small island amongst the Orkneys. She is solitary, but full of potential and determination.
The image was professionally printed onto Somerset Enhanced 225gm acid free authentic fine art paper from St Cuthbert’s Mill, Somerset, using the highest quality archival pigment inks. This was mounted onto Japanese Hosho paper, which in turn was applied to a 350gm satin card. A thumbnail print was applied to the back of the card with details of printing. Finally the card was signed, dated and titled by the artist.
This card is the perfect size to be mounted into a standard 25 x25cm frame. A perfect small gift which can be displayed for many years without fear of fading.
The card is left blank for your message.
